Happy New Year!

Time for updates. And this will probably be my last post before I fly off. I'll be back on 8 Jan. :)

30 Dec:

Went for the Expo Sale again in the morning. But ended up not buying anything lol. Watched Australia after that. It wasn't as good as I had expected. :( I watched it because of Nicole Kidman and Baz Luhrmann. It was quite draggy and kind of stupid. I hate that mixed boy. Not because he's mixed, but because he's just such a goody two shoes kid. He's so irritating his appearance each time made me cringe with disgust. There was less romance involved than I had thought. It wasn't really romantic at the romantic parts, either. Went to Parkway after that for my secret mission which wasn't really a secret. Made my way home with some difficulty. Yes I've visited Parkway a thousand and one times in my life and it was the first time I was finding my own way home.

31 Dec:

Class gathering at Clarke Quay. We were supposed to meet at 1, and since I woke up at a timing that was just right for me to reach there on time, I skipped breakfast. But by the time everyone reached it was around 2, and by the time we actually ate it was even later. Poor hungry me with severe cramps. :( Left early to idle at AMK Hub before heading to party. Food was yummy! Planned a bit of our trip. Then went to watch the fireworks from Benjamin Sheares Bridge. I was freaking sleepy and in a rather foul mood, and it didn't help that I was having cramps and the journey was so arduous and I was sweaty. But I decided to go ahead anyway, and I didn't regret. Haha. The crowd was crazy. But the fireworks were beautiful. :) So 2009 started with a bang.

The journey home was horrible because we had to walk a long way, I was really, REALLY tired by then, and my cramps were getting worse. Thankfully the MRT was open till 2 am, otherwise cab fare would have cost a bomb because of traffic jam and various surcharges. It was the most wonderful feeling to be back home and be clean after showering cos I needed to sleep more than anything.

1 Jan:

I did some last-minute shopping for my trip with my parents. Bought a jacket that was freaking expensive, gloves just in case (trust my dad to suggest such things :p) and heat packs from OG. Then headed over to the Expo Sale to get a sling bag and socks. Bought a pair of heels too (purchase not related to the trip :D). Then met Ben and friends (sounds like some cartoon name) for dinner. Satay beehoon! But it was nowhere near the standard of the satay beehoon at Lagoon. Then went home to start packing. Slept at close to 2 am, but woke up at 6 am worrying that I might have remembered the date of the flight wrongly and it was in fact this morning at 6 am. Scary. =/
